Small Business Startup was founded in 2001 as IBFskinned. We started
out making styles for forum boards, like Invision Power Board and Vbulletin. We
used forums our self on our own sites, but soon we had people visiting us asking if we
could make forum styles for them as they liked our work.
We were soon working more on making styles for others than using our own forum and site, so we created a database for all the styles we had made. Soon people started to submit their own work to us so we could make them available to our member base. We then changed our name to NBSdesignz.
As time went on our member base grew and we had thousands of people visiting our site on a monthly basis to see all the new styles we had made and what our members had submitted to us. Before long our name had been made in the forum world. The demand grew so large that we ended up towards 15 million visitors per month, with some large companies using our styles for their site and custom paid work.
After a few years of our success in the forum world we moved into other areas like our own scripts (top-list,banner ads and customer support scripts) and also headed into the hosting world due to a new demand from our members. Like before we grew so quickly that we ended up owning a few dedicated servers to cope with the amount of customers. We finally grew so big, it became too much for us with all the services we were providing. We as a family were left with little to no time to ourselves. So we could have family time, we made the decision to sell NBSdesignz and take a break from the online community.
That was until a few months ago when we were contacted by an old customer who wanted some work done, which lead into another job, and then word of mouth to a custom website. Feeling ready, armed with our experiences and better time management we are ready to begin a new. Which has lead to the start up of Small Business Startup.
